Curious if anyone here can help me find, and/or answer an internet access question for me.

I read today that "the NFL is already experimenting with showing [overseas] telecasts of games on the Internet, something prohibited under the league's North American TV contracts".

My question is: Is there a way of accessing these internet telecasts which are apparently only being broadcast via overseas websites/servers? If so, how. If not, how do they restrict it from those of us in North America?

When the check the IP of the person trying to connect to the broadcast, they will deny any people within North America that would violate their TV contracts.

Hmmm...interesting. I believe the first answer is correct, but there may be a way around it with an anonymizer service.

Buddy- Can you direct me to an "anonymizer" sign-up site? I would try your suggestion *IF* I could learn how to find the address from which the broadcast can be accessed. (Any ideas on how to locate that?)

Just my personal thoughts here, but I would think that they will probably deny the anomyzers as well, just to make sure that they do not violate their multi-million $ contracts.

As to how you would find out what IP's they are using, I have no idea other than try to surf foreign pages in hopes of finding it somewhere. Needle in the haystack.

Good points, "cannotsay". Guess I'll give up on the idea. Wouldda been sweet though, being that I no longer have my satellite tv. Oh well, maybe someday.

Last NFL game I watched was so cloudy from chemtrail spraying that I missed an important play. The refs did too. So If I were you I wouldn't sweat the little stuff. Look instead at the big ( cloudy ) picture!
