Wadsworth sets record straight

StoryID: 719205 Date: Thursday 5 October, 2000 Time: 10:40

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Newcastle assistant boss Mick Wadsworth has played down reports the Magpies are interested in Wrexham's West Indian star Carlos Edwards.

Wadsworth was seen as a Wrexham match, leading to speculation that Newcastle were keeping tabs on the highly-rated midfield man. But Wadsworth said: "We watch a lot of games and people put two and two together. The fact is we have made no plans to have Edwards watched on a regular basis this season."

I have reached the point where I can no longer be bothered to read papers, look at so called information www sites etc as there is just so much crap about who is buying whom. Joe at Man City says the Nobby speculation is rubbish. From now on I am relying solely on ITK, Rik and Swifty etc for my information. Is this wise?

There's ridiculour transfer speculation, and then there's the chimp on RTG yesterday who was convinced Sunderland were going to sign Michael Owen.

Now then , have we not signed F*****r yet?

Team Twaddle must be shitting themselved at the prospect of transfer fee being abolished. They would go out of buisiness if they didn't have all these transfer rumours to make up then squash the following day.

Stick with the BBs Rumour brigade, one of these days our Taxi drivers, Window Cleaners and friends in the Box office will come up trumps.
