JOHN PACE of PHIFERSVILLE (MISENHEIMER) NC

In 1898 the estate papers of YOUNG PACE (b.abt. 1834-d. 1880) named one of his sons as JOHN PACE, living in Phifersville, NC (also known as Misenheimer, NC, in Stanley Co. NC. Another of the sons of YOUNG PACE was an AUGUSTUS PACE, in 1898 estate papers shown as living in Ft. Mill/Hill in SC, close to Mecklenburg Co. NC.

I believe that YOUNG PACE was related to my ABNER PACE (b.1821); both were apprenticed as orphans in Guilford Co., NC. Upon the completion of his apprenticeship, Abner Pace married and moved to Rowan NC. Around 1858 YOUNG PACE moved to Mecklenburg Co., NC, taking with him an elderly ZILPHA PACE (b.1800 Chatham Co.NC), believed to possibly be his mother. YOUNG PACE had another son (named Abner) who died in 1900 when hit by a train in Mecklenburg Co., NC. The wife of YOUNG PACE was NANCY WALLS, and thus they would be the parents of the JOHN PACE that I am seeking. A brother of YOUNG PACE was NEEDHAM PACE, also an orphan apprentice in Guilford Co., NC; NEEDHAM PACE married a MARY/MARGARET MYERS in Mecklenburg Co., NC.
