There has been a 23 year old mom missing for almost a week, her baby was due any day. Last she was heard from, she had phoned hubby @ work to say some lady was coming to look at vehicle for sale. Massive police hunt.

Today her body was found in a shallow grave in a garage, her baby boy was found inside a home of a woman who has JUST committed suicide. It appears @ the present time, the woman who had been pregnant had been abducted and had her abdomen cut open, the baby retrieved and left for dead. DNA test now underway to see if this is her baby. Husband has been granted temp custody pending outcome of DNA results.

DOES IT GET ANY SICKER THAN THIS??????????????????????????????????

I had read the article, link and had thought about posting it. This is indeed sick.

When I read about something like this, makes debates/arguments about mud wrestling invitations seem kinda inconsequential.

Anita: We should refrain from second guessing what the cops and the DA are doing. The absolute WORST mistake would be to press charges too early with insufficient evidence, and later see the culprit walk away free, or convicted of a much lesser crime.

Let's get the characters straight [before I confuse myself]. Theresa Andrews was the mother who had the baby removed. Michelle Bica is the woman who is alleged to have removed same baby [now also dead.] Thomas Bica is the husband of Michelle Bica and was in the home at the time the police came in, found the baby in the nursery, and found the dead woman in the garage.

Now, how do you explain Thomas not knowing anything when there was a new baby in his house and a dead woman in his garage. Did he think the stork dropped off the baby and simply never went in the garage? Did he never ask Michelle how there came to be a baby in the nursery? I'd sure get asked a few questions if a baby suddenly showed up in THIS house. There must be some law broken here by him. I'm just not smart enough to know which one.

King: I agree. They have the facts and all I can think about is how my SO would respond if there were suddenly a new baby in our home. I doubt he'd think there was a red-light special at K-mart. I can also imagine the questions regarding what I'd done to the floor of the garage.

Being sarcastic, it has been happening much longer than that. The only thing that changes is the technology, not the psychology. If you believe humankind is more wicked and sinful now than ever before, then you are naive, and very ignorant of history to boot.

Could it be possibly that she had had a miscarriage that her husband didn't know about? Why would they have a nursery if they weren't expecting a child? Read the latest link, as it shows that women have done this before, and sadly, will do it again.

Since this one is REAL close to Cleveland, I can tell you what the detectives have no released via press conference:

Michelle Bica was a LARGE woman, so, her hubby did believe her to be pregnant. Hubby has PASSED a lie detector test.

When detectives traced her (michelle bica) thru phone records, they went to her home to ask her ??'s, they interviewed her in driveway. Later they went back, heard a gunshot, heard hubby calling out her name, entered home, found her w/self inflicted gun-shot wound and baby in home. Later they found the victim in the garage in a shallow grave. She had been shot in the back and WAS dead prior to baby removal. Sorry I had stated incorrectly @ beginning of post.

Victims hubby is now allowed at hospital ALL the time while awaiting DNA test which maybe done today.

They have set up a fund for the victims family as well. They had moved from Lakewood Ohio, Ox's former roost to Ravenna Ohio, a country type place to escape crime.

Michelle Bica called on the victim to test drive her jeep she had for sale.

More to follow, I am sure. We here in Ohio are sickened by this tragic story and it is being talked about EVERYWHERE. How sad.

Sheeple: I'd wondered about that nursery, as well.

Consumer: Thanks for the update. I know big women can hide their pregnancies well, but I'd be curious to learn the results on whether she was pregnant or not at all recently.

I guess it boggles my mind that some couples don't discuss pregnancies. Husband ASSUMED? The baby was born when he wasn't around? Childbirth was a big event in MY life, and I can't imagine my husband not knowing I'd had the child, even if he'd thought I was pregnant. Oh well, as SO said, stupidity isn't against the law.

Anita she HAD been pregnant but miscarried.

Detectives believe there may have been an accomplice as the c-section could not have been done alone.

She told a neighbor she had the baby on Monday evening, the neighbor told her "I saw you on Monday", but neighbor did not put 2 and 2 together until it was too late.

She had also been signed up at the same baby registry of the deceased for baby gift items...Bizarre.

Couple Had Boasted About Newborn

Ralph Reaser, 39, who lives next door to the Bicas, said Bica told him last week that she had just had a baby. At a nearby drug store, clerks were talking Tuesday about how Thomas Bica was in the store a couple of days ago boasting about how his wife just had a baby boy.

Mike Edgell, 22, who lives across the street from the Bicas, said that about three months ago Bica told him she was finishing painting the nursery in their house. I saw her not that long ago. She looked to me as if she was pregnant, Edgell said. We were excited for them because they were having a baby. And now we find out this. Its hard to believe.

A similar case occurred 13 years ago in Albuquerque, N.M., when a woman faked a pregnancy, then abducted and strangled Cindy Ray, 23, who was 8= months pregnant. Darci Pierce used a car key to cut the baby from the womb and tried to pass the child off as her own. Pierce was found guilty but mentally ill on charges of first-degree murder, kidnapping and child abuse; the baby was returned to Rays husband.

In suburban Chicago in 1995, a woman and two of her children were killed, and the baby she had not yet given birth to was slashed from her womb because another woman wanted the baby. The infant boy survived.
