This Weekend?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Unofficial Newcastle United Football Club BBS : One Thread

I'll steal Jay's thunder for a change and start this off cos I've gotta leave in 30 mins :))

I'm getting the 2pm train from Kings Cross to Newcastle to show my lovely russian friend around the Golden City, go to the coast and of course show her SJP......gutted that she chose an away match weekend to finally let me show her Newcastle.....probably show her the 7th wonder of the world that is Newcastle's Nightlife and bask in her amazement :))

Oh and a word of warning....NEVER let a mate book a hotel for you cos they'll only stitch you up.....I've been booked in as William H Bonney and I've no idea how I'm gonna keep a straight face when they start calling me Mr Bonney.....

So what are the rest of you up to? and have a GREAT one!

I wish I could say I was headed for DC to watch the game at the British Embassy social club, but nooooooooooooooooooooo. I'm in the midst of moving hell. And that's putting it mildly. Long(very) story short, the %^&&%#@! movers are due here "between noon and 2p" today. At some point this weekend, it looks like my friend's father will have to come over with his saw to get my cat out from behind the kitchen cabinets. He managed to get himself in through a tiny hole, inaccessible to the average human, at 5am Friday morning when we arrived here after 9hrs caterwauling all the way down I-95.

Next I'll be turning my 3 pages(and growing) of notes into a massive complaint letter to the moving company, the BBB, licensing agencies, attorney general's office, and every consumer reporting agency/advocate I can find(especially in the Boston area). I'll be glad when this weekend is over. A win from the lads today will certainly give me one reason to smile. At least I should be able to listen to the webcast. :-)
