I am doing a school project and I need to find things that Edgar Allan Poe would have kept in his suit case when travelling. Any ideas?

OK Ill give it a try.

It is my understanding that Poe traveled rather frequently and other than a change of clothes and the essential 19th century toiletries, I would suspect Poe would have included the tools and materials of his trade as a writer and critic of literature. These might include such things as a bottle of ink, a stylus, blank paper (generally expensive), local newspapers or magazines, a book or two and the latest offerings from the world of literature to critique.
