For September? Erm, what for? At this rate, Newcastle United will be in a relegation dog-fight before anyone else wins it. I might have thought the Leicester City boss - whatever his name is - has more claim to the title. At the start of the month, Newcastle were on top of the premiership. Now, we're exactly five points off the top, and five from the bottom.

For September? Erm, what for? Erm.....no Gibbo, it was for August actually. It is presented retrospectively for past achievements, not what might happen in future.

It certainly seems to be the kiss of death to most managers/teams. Get the trophy (YBR given it before the Chewsee match) and the side plays crap till someone else wins it.

Peter Taylor at Leicester will probably get the next one, but personally given the curse it seems to have attached to it, I reckon we should petition Carling to give it to Monkey Heed every month....for no better reason that if it helps to f**k the Makems it has to be a good idea.
