Oh ye of little faith

Listers,

Probably no one wants to *talk* on the week-end but just in case. Are there any of you who are completely clear (and happy) with the part the grace of God plays in your lives?

Maybe it was the way I was raised but things are not as clear cut as I would like them to be. I know people who have no worry whatsoever because they feel safe in the arms of Jesus. Oh, what I wouldn't give for that feeling.

On my list awhile back someone gave a good discussion on how we go from high faith to low faith. I liked that because it described me pretty well. So I wonder if my problem is not with grace (but maybe it is) as much as it is with faith.

Sometimes I feel I am close to God as I pray. Then other times I can't find Him. Once a friend sent me the song "Back in Daddy's arms." I have found that when I am troubled, things really lighten up when I focus on God. It is as if I really am back in His arms.

When my sister died a fine man from the GA list sent me a picture card his son-in-law had designed of an arm stretched out holding a little baby in the hand. It represented God holding His child in His hand. Very comforting!

I think if God talked to me sometimes He would probably say, "Oh, ye of little faith."

Well, back to grace. What is it? Who gets it? How does it feel when someone has it?

Its late! Good night to all.

The subject you postulate here is so very important. I have spent this entire year on the theme of Growing a Great Faith in Y2K. There is just so much material to cover so Great a subject. In all of this of course i was speaking of the Quality of Faith, not quanity, as though you could pour it into one. Jesus spoke of several in the scriptures that had great faith and in each of these are clues to what constitutes that particular aspect of a great faith. I would be happy to send you the Themes for each month and some clues including key scriptures if you are interested, just email me as given.
