Londonmags - 5 a-side number 2?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Unofficial Newcastle United Football Club BBS : One Thread

After the success of Bobby's stag 5 a-side in Regents Park, does anyone fancy a kickabout the weekend of the Germany game? Perhaps go for a curry and watch the game in a dodgy local boozer?

I was thinking of trying to organise a curry night for some time round then.....we could even try to persuade Galaxy, Pete and Yelli to come along so they can meet some of the other charming people....

I'm up for it mate....might be asking a bit much for Sting to get another evening pass ;))

Dave and others - yeap non Londonmags can turn up as long as they promise not to do a Screach and score all the goals....
the more the merrier.

Actually, that weekend has now turned out not to be quite as good idea as previously thought. The lad who was my best man is having his 30th birthday celebrations in the Town that day...three of us have consecutive b'days (9, 10, 11) so often make the extra effort.

Dont fret ill be there , what day is it again ; - )

Date might need a slight tweeking for me as well.....

-- Anonymous, September 25, 2000

If you're interested, I know some Makems who have set up a 5-a-side team in london called "The Monkey's Heeds". How about a "derby" game? ((-:

-- Anonymous, September 25, 2000

Put some dates forward, if we're going to play the Heeds at some stage we'll need some practise (and Screacher up front).

-- Anonymous, September 25, 2000

Have e mailed the one I know and asked if he can come up with some dates. Will let you know what he says. Assuming they are all like him, they are pretty much unthuggy...

-- Anonymous, September 25, 2000

Count me out of playing with the mackems.....not even remotely interested, unless of course I can shed blood.....

-- Anonymous, September 25, 2000

Actually, that's apparently what the Makems' mates said too.

ANDY.......is this kickabout still a goer.....I can't make it cos I'm working, (unless you are still going at the beer at midnight, in which case I may join you) but I mentioned it on Londonmags earlier (you probably saw it) and it looks like there might be a couple interested from there.

I've sent this board URL and password to a couple of them, so they can get onto here and post......

You still trying to organise it.......;0)

Count me out fellas. I'm not back home before Firday now and won't travel to Lahndaa on the Saturday. I'd have travelled in from Gloucester on Sat, but too late now. Besides, I don't like getting wet.

I can't be arsed with the 5 a side....just tell me if there's drinks and curry afterwards and I'll be there....otherwise I won't....

-- Anonymous, October 02, 2000

Didn't realise it was a 3 o'clock kick off until Sky were ramming it across yesterday....Beers and curry anyone?

-- Anonymous, October 02, 2000

Yup you've said the magic words...Beer and Curry....when/where etc etc etc......Everyone who wants to be there.....GET YOUR NAMES DOWN NOW! :))
