Warranty Cards

If you obtain a camera in new condition from a private party or dealer which has blank warranty cards and has not been registered can you register it for warranty purchases from the date you purchased it from that party? Otherwise what is the value of having unmarked warranty cards?

1. No. 2. None. To get any kind of warranty repair, you'll have to provide proof of purchase from an authorized dealer showing date of purchase and serial number. The repair centers are only interested in knowing whether the unit is still within the warranty period, not whose name is registered.
