Newcastle are set to take Bobby Convey and Chris Allbright from American side DC United for a loan period. The idea was struck whilst United were on their pre-season trip to the US and it appears that rather than a normal loan deal, the two rising stars will strictly be on Tyneside for the experience. Convey has been linked with a move to United before, but at just 17 that would be unlikely. The two players will be unavailable to train and are just hoping to improve their game through spending time at St James' Park and also a spell at Ipswich.

Convey is supposed to be sh1te hot - US international (which is starting to mean something now) at the age of 16/7. Allbright might have a better left side than his sister.
