What was the last film you saw at the flicks and was it good? Last I saw was "Green Mile" and it was so-so..not as good as the book.

Perfect Storm. Got the impression it was a vehicle purely for the special effects - however, they were excellent!(:o)

De Builder ;)) strangely enough I've seen a few snatches in Northampton and Towcester ;))

Don't think I'll ever get sick of that film :))

You've seen it a few times Gav? Keen aren't you. Believe it or not I've only ever seen it the once, me and my girlfriend watched it together, now there's an open relationship for you!! Sting take note!

Best go and get a cup of tea now before this goes deeper. Mmmph!

American Psycho and Essex boys on a plane .. American Psyco dressed us traders up as a bunch of mixed up , psycopathic , self centred posers in the universe - total crap ; - ) As for Essex boys far too close home for my liking and very gruesome especially when the dog is strung up and the fella gets acid thrown in his face . Best fil ive seen this year was Man on the moon , Jim Careys play on the life of mad cap comedian Andy Kaufman , absolutely fing edgy man .

Saving Grace...it's a right tear jerker at the end if you enjoy the Herb of Life :-)

Hey Dougal-

I liked Green Mile and thought it was just as good as the book- a bit long and not the most pleasant story but well made with a good cast (except for Tom Hanks' wife who was at least 20 years older than him).

How evil was Billy the Kid? You have to put him up there on the all-time bad guy list.

Aha, but Gav, I didn`t say the film was good, just that the special effects were good.(:o)

Sting - what odd films to show on a plane. You would think that they would go for `fluffy bunny` type films, to make people feel relaxed and mellow! Haven`t seen American Pyscho, but I hated the book anyway, therefore wouldn`t bother with the film. Definately will give the other film a miss - thanks for the warning!(:o)

Pete -

Yeah, Billy the Kid is dreadful. In fairness, the film versions of King books are normally appalling and this is one of the better adaptations (along with Misery and the Shining). Have you been buying chapters of the book he's publishing in stages on the Internet?

Dougal- Yeah, actually I paid the $1 each for the first 2 installments. Didn't get around to reading the second one but the first one was good enough to get me curious. Et vous? My favorite story (book only!) was It.
