According to today's Times (which doesn't appear to report on wor match at all), we have the best disciplinary record in the PL with just two yellows and one red. I thought this was quite interesting. Anyway, we might get into Europe via the fair play route even if our league camapign looks a bit unconvincing...((-:

Early days Dougal, early days!

Actually, our disciplinary record this season is outstanding - down no doubt to BR. No one booked again last night. If sustained, this will work in our favour later in the season when disciplinary points start biting through suspensions.

Speed was a tad fortunate not to be booked for that late, high challenge, but since that tosser with the whistle gave us nowt else all night I won't be writing to the FA for the video evidence to be taken into consideration :-)

Who was thetosserreferee Softie?
I don't recall seeing him before, and as the PA system's subwoofer was terminally wounded I never did find out.
I think what they were frantically trying to get over was "is there an electrician in the house!" Bloody unbelievable that you can spend #40 million and still can't get the PA system to work.

Hahahah Screach funnily enough i came into the thread with the same thoughts , ill be found on my leash at around 3.00 prolly sitting attentively outside oasis or some other bliddy clothes shop . Im gonna need an extensive match report please lads and lasses . Actually back to the thread , and i was disappointed with the lack of ' bite ' in our challenges at Soton and was one of the reasons for our losing the ball so often . We need a hard man and if that means he gets booked every now and then so be it ... you'll win no league being the fairies , you only need to look at the @rse and NH for that . Im afraid discipline should be kept purely for the bedroom ; - ))

REf was Mr Leake, and this was only the second time he's participated in a game involving a Prem side (last was Sheff Wed in the same round last season). Explains why he kept overruling the linesmen and making allowances for the crap(per) side.
