As closet Villa fans, can you tell me why Villa are biulding a new stand,when they can't get more than 25,000 down, there are still empty seats. What's happening?

It does seem strange though , I thought Villa park held 40,000 why do they need a new stand? Why didn't they pull it down and replace it with flats or something?

I'm sure ego's are involved - because Villa Park has always been one of the lerger grounds, they probably didn't want to get left too far behind.

I'm rubbing my hands over the Chelsea crisis - I've always said they've been walking a tightrope. If results don't improve, then their 'fans' will start leaving en masse, especially at the prices they charge. No Europe and reduced gates would mean they'll haemorage due to the player wages they're having to pay
