It's 8-0 Day: walking in a Robson Wonderland

What were you doing on this auspicious day last year? I was sitting next to Jonno in the Gallowagte End refusing to believe we'd win til we were about 6 up. Incidentally, it's spooky how many games we have won by big margins on this day in history. See NUFC.Com

I was in the Leazes/East corner with Steph. It brought tears to my eyes.

I remember asking Screacher the score 'cos I couldn't quite believe it.

I got engaged. I rang my 94-year-old Gran to tell her and she said: 'Oh - I felt so awful when I woke up this morning. But today has just got better. First Newcastle wallop Sheffield Wednesday 8-0 and now you tell me you're getting married.'

In that order.

Cool lady, my Grandma.

I listened to it on the webcast. phoned home at h-t as I had to speak to someone, there was only my mum at home and she said 'well it's only h-t thay (meaning sheff wed) might score 4 in the second half'. I enjoyed phoning her back at f-t to say we'd scored another 4.

Sitting at home on the bbs, listening to the webcast and not believing what was happening. I just remember typing and refreshing furiously and at some point losing all track of our score. Spent the next morning at work reading every account I could find and printing off the photos of Shearer grinning to hang on my bulletin board.

On the M25 between A10 and M40, turning 5 Live on and off as is my custom. Everytime I turned it on we scored. Hasn't worked since.
