After it turns out we passed the ball a lot, I love, just love the pessimism of the response 'it just goes to show the dribbling skills of our team'.

Similar story. I remember I used to live with these 2 sisters in Fenham. I told one of them when they were going out for the night that they looked really nice. The next day, the other one came up to me and said 'I hear you don't think I look nice anymore'.
