I had it all planned, ticket for the Everton game, 3 days on the hoy doon the Toon, meet old pals and new pals at the Strawbeery, motor back up for a couple days attendance at my place of employment!!!, head west with June and dog to take advantage of a super 5 day offer in a chalet at lergan`s Glen, 3 mile from Oban, free fishing on their brown trout loch inc. Head back East, couple more days at work, fly over to Galway for a family wedding ,3 days at the Rynevale Hotel, Connemara, own 9 hole golf course. Well it was obvious something had to give, either my pocket or my liver, nae change out of a grand methinks. I place great store on Gav`s and ITK`s honesty in reporting about the Toon, along with a number of others on here, not being able to see them live, so it is with deep regret after considerable thought that the Everton game got the chop. Deep down I feel that we are not as good as we think we are and in certain areas of the team selection, the heart is ruling the head. Five years ago there would have been contest if I had to make, the same descision, suppose we are all looking for value for money now
