Morning all.....roll call..

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Unofficial Newcastle United Football Club BBS : One Thread

So....who's about?

I'm at work here having only left 7 hours ago :(( still hoping (million to one shot now!) that I can get out of here in the next 2 hours so that I can meet up with the lads and get down to the Dell....

Actually a million to one is way too hopeful! I needed everything to be running smoothly this morning so that I can convince my boss that they didn't need me and that I could pop back in tonight after having being to the match (yeah right!)....

*sob* *sob* *sob*......I HATE WORK.... :((

Hi Gav - I sat here kicking myself now! I think I might be able to get some petrol this morning, and I`m regretting having declined the ticket offer! (:o(

Morning mum,

Yup the petrol stations are open around my way.....queues weren't too big either....

I'm CERTAIN that there are STILL tickets on the go and someone mentioned that Southampton might actually have some returns in the Newcastle area....GIVE THEM A CALL :))

I'm desperately trying to get out of here.....it's mission impossible but my names Nathan Hunt....or is that Nasty C**t? ;)) I get confused very easily...

Anyway....I've got NO chance of meeting Sting and the rest in 25 mins but I might be able to get out for 12 and get down there in time for kick off....we'll see ;))

Pilgrim reporting for duty.

I'm expecting a visit from Screacher to listen to the webcast. I'll let him do the typing on the match thread - I usually prefer to sit there trying to stop my @rsehole from caving in - I get that nervous when I can't see what's happening!

Gal I managed to get a full tank yesterday - I had to queue for two hours and felt like I'd won the lottery when the tank was full - my petrol light came on about twenty minutes from the pump and I realised that if the unleaded ran out before I was served I couldn't get home. It was just like listening to a webcast! At least it was very well policed and I had the pleasure of seeing them kick out a queue-jumper- I rang Mrs P up on the mobile so I could describe the action!

Morning gang. Good to finally meet you last weekend Gav.

Got back last night from "foreign fields" that will most definitely be "forever England". Wonderful, evocative trip to Picardy & Flanders, with so many emotions to untangle before I can sensibly (and concisely) report.

The trip was disturbed by the barely believeable reports coming out of England, and the apparent impotence of our Leaders to avoid a pitiful crisis - and latterly by similar action in France & Belgium, that should have hindered our travels, but for some unknown reason didn't.

Gutted that Wor Warren has joined the long-term casualty list - we'll miss him. Confused over the Lua Lua situation. Staggered but not totally surprised by Axeman Bates firing of Lucca Vialli - one of the games nice guys.

Hoping for at least a point from the Dell today. Catch ya'll later.

Rang the Dell this morning - snotty staff there said there would no tickets on sale at the Dell today. So I said `what if people bring back spares and drop them into the box office`. Same reply - no tickets on sale at the Dell today. Hell, why should they care, they`ve already had the money for them. I expect there may be a few spares brought down with people from Newcastle - but you never can tell. Rang NUFC box office this morning, and they said they had not had any tickets returned! (:o|

Morning Pilgrim - Pete managed to get some petrol this morning - had to queue for an hour though, #10 worth for account holders only! Best I go get in the queue now!

Hi Clarky - looking forward to hearing about your visit. (:o)

Haha I'm gonna save Clarky's posting....someone FINALLY said it was nice to meet me ;))

What a difference a week can make eh clarky? you leave the country for a week and come back to find it totally changed ;))

Absence makes the heart grow fonder! (:o)

....or is that Absinth?(sp) (;o)

Just ignore Clarky - he's confused. I mean, who in their right mind would travel to France when there's (non-)industrial action on the go? I ask you. Anyway, it wasn't Gav he saw in the pub last week and thought was "nice to meet". It was Jez from Corrie. Everybody says it's "nice to meet you" to Jez. Unless they want their heeds kickin' in. Bliddy Mancs.

I got #20 worth of petrol yesterday. Funny thing is, I have driven the same distance since I last filled up, but normally need #40. Amazing how frugal you can be if you leave your right foot off the floor.

See you later Pilgrim. I'll du teh tiypng. KO?

Anyone want to play in my new chatroom later on? A change might just break a 28 year jinx.

Just procured my Cup Tickets & beamback. I have a good feeling about today.

If Pilgrim, Screacher or anyone fancies a change of scenery Try A new Chatroom out, It isn't java script, you only need to set yourseldf a user name and password and you're in. It's got a few fancy things to play with if we get bored like the option to have a beer? It's new so I'm as much in the dark as you lot. One thing though is I couldn't use Rik so you might have to stick a number after your username.

Hey all. I'm here for a few minutes. Off to drop a load of junk off at Goodwill at 10am, and hopefully back in time for the 2nd half. They really do need to schedule their collection times a bit better. I mean 10a-12n on a Saturday?? In football season??? Hello?! Don't they realize there's people that need to listen to webcasts?? ;-)))
