Equivalent Names of EOS bodies: N.A. vs. off-shore

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Canon EOS FAQ forum : One Thread

What are the equivalent model names of EOS bodies outside of North America. For example, I have the EOS ElanIIe-- is this the EOS50, 100 or what?

I would like to be able to correlate information on the forum to the 1N, 1V, Elan, A2 etc.

Thanks,

You might take a look at the Canon Camera Museum. They provide equivalent names for all their cameras. http://www.canon.com/camera-museum/

Thanks for the URL. I didn't know it existed. By the way, for anyone who's interested, the Canon museum includes digital cameras as well.

Thank you,

Check out this site http://www.photozone.de On this site there is a Canon EOS section, and in that there is a Canon EOS Feature Page. It has quite a lot of info and specifically the equivalent Model names.

BH Photo's Resources page has a lot of info. You can also find a lot of info (links) at the bottom of the Canon reviews page on Photo.net (http://www.photo.net/photo/canon/canon-reviews).
