Ok the trip didn't go as planned. How about this for a start:

1. Found out the battery for the digital camera was flat only at SJP (I was sure i charged the thing the night before) luckily I still have my pocket camera with me. 2. Guided tour of SJP doesn't start until September, so i only get to admire the grand one from outside (the security even went the extend to remind me not to go in) 3. No training for the day because the youth team had a game the night before, so that rules out any possibility of going to Chester Le street 4. grey monument and tyne bridge under restoration work.

Those are just minor hiccups. I still get: 1. to have a beer at strawberry 2. to see SJP despite only from the outside 3. visited all the club shops and busted my credit cards limits 4. seen and visited all the places i want to go. 5. met the nicest and friendliest Geordies (in particular Janice from the Strawberry who took a picture of me behind the bar when all I asked for was to take pictures of the pub). the gentleman at the club reception, the people I asked for directions, the ladies at the tourist information centre, the staff at Wok this Way in Chinatown (I thought all along I only find Chinatown in London!!)...all very nice people except the lady at the train station.
