I'm not much f a reporter but I went up to see us take the inferiors apart but we never capitalised on our first half chances, and there was a few of them, and ended up losing to what looked like a keepers mistake or fluke or something equally against the grain.

It started out warm but as if on cue the fog descended and chilled the night so we probably should have known what to expect after that stormy night last August. First half we were denied what looked like a certain penalty but the ref pointed for a goal kick (leaving my mate a bit embarressed leaping about thinking he was pointing to the spot). That sort of set the theme for the night, we were clean through about four times and failed to beat the keeper with the bar & post denying us, I was impressed with Amoebi (first half anyway) he looks so comfortable with the ball; a mix between Kanu & Tino but then again this wasn't exactly a big stage. Half time came too soon and I was convinced we would turn it around 2nd half, that was until we kicked off. They came out the better side and could have doubled their tally with the pacy Nunez beating the offside trap and forcing a decent save from Harper. We did threaten 2nd half but it wasn't to be.

Shirt wearing Sunderland fans freely mixed with Mags and from what I saw did not appear to get abused, well mebbees heckled a little bit.

Funniest moment was when Nunez (who is about 3'6" tall!) went down injured. The physio and coach went to help him off the pitch but after hopping a few steps they decided it was quicker to just pick him up and carry him!
