What's the price of regular gas up in your area, please? It's $1.55 in town at Shell. I checked the AAA gas watch page, but it's down. Thanks.

Sumer is dead. She drank 13 margaritas, ate 2 dozen Twinkies, and passed out in her hot tub. When her family found her the next morning, they thought their hot tub had been invaded by a huge white raisin.

-- Matt Sludge (sludge@retort.con), September 10, 2000.

If that were so, Matt, the local TV 10 station would've reported it: that's the sort of story that makes them wet their undies. Can you say, "Trash TV"? Sumer will turn up, but I hope that I hear from her before late morning.

-- (kb8um8@yahoo.com), September 10, 2000.

I think it would be courteous of you two above posters, to give 'sumer a chance to reply, instead of making assinine assumptions and projections. You two are very unkind. Why don't you re-think your positions before you attack someone the next time? These kinds of responses are the reason folks stay away anymore. What has happened here, and what continues to happen? This cruelty must stop. Please, what purpose does it serve anyone? Except to display your poverty of spirit and humanity?

Sorry, it is getting old. Do forgive my rant, but it does become so tiresome. Folks here deserve better. Think about what you post, and consider others feelings, if you will. Folks around here used to be caring and kind. Can we not return to that spirit of humaness we all share?

Dito AB...

to Matt... STFU... do you know what the hell that means? If not, I'll be more than happy to tell you!!!!!!

-- (Sheeple@Greener.Pastures), September 10, 2000.

Ladies, calm down. I've got a pot of hot chocolate on the stove and a box of fresh Ginger Snaps. Help yourselves. From the looks of the board, it looks like it's been an annoying weekend for a lot of readers.

-- (kb8um8@yahoo.com), September 10, 2000.

How confusing. kb8um8 is a friend of consumer's...he's asking her to report in with the price of gasoline...and that is unkind?

Admittedly, Matt Sludge is a different sort. Sorry, but I thought it was funny, and something tells me consumer will find it funny, too.

This is the kind of thing that keeps posters away? I don't think so. Try posting a thread that asks the question..."Does cpr make this forum a wasteland?" I think you'll have your answer.

-- (xxx@xxx.xxx), September 10, 2000.

Aunt Bee and Donna,

I challenge you to respond on any of cpr's many many threads today by telling him that he is out of line and is keeping people away from the forum.

-- (hip hip@hypocrites.hooray), September 10, 2000.

hiphip-

I wouldn't waste my time reading, much less RESPONDING to CPR. It serves no purpose, other than to encourage, and this I will not do. I would be happy if he just went away, as would most of us here, if I read the responses correctly.

-- Aunt Bee (Aunt__Bee@hotmail.com), September 10, 2000.

Hey, go fight on someone else's thread. I don't have enough Ginger Snaps for all of you.

-- (kb8um8@yahoo.com), September 10, 2000.

Really Aunt Bee, take a valium and chill. Have you no sense of humor?

xxx obviously figured it out, guess you must be a bit high-strung.

Does 'Sumer like to mudwrestle?

-- King of Spain (madrid@aol.cum), September 10, 2000.

once more, to the top.

-- (kb8um8@yahoo.com), September 11, 2000.

KOS, trust me, you DON'T want to mudwrestle Sumer, she'd crush you.

-- (vavooom@bahama.mama), September 11, 2000.

Hi all!!!!

I've NOT drank myself to drown position in the 'tub' :-)

K8, gas, is at 1.60 up here my way, and it is Monday Morning.

Cheapest I've seen is 1.57 on west-side of Cleveland.

Sorry I didnt respond earlier, been down in body, gots to have surgery next month. Thnks Aunt Bee, you are tooo kind. K, pass da cookies, I lov ginger snappers.....

hope this getz ....... to da top....

-- consumer (shh@aol.com), September 11, 2000.

PSS, hey KOS, as a matter of fact.... I LOVE TO WRESTLE, just ask the capn of Fun.... :-)

-- consumer (shh@aol.com), September 11, 2000.

{Note to sumer: I think His Majesty is still persona non grata to the cap. Don't get them started}.

-- flora (***@__._), September 11, 2000.

Thanks, Sumer! I asked because I had relatives traveling through Cleveland in one of those monster motorhomes (5th wheels?) and they wanted to know whether to fill up in Cleveland or sooner. I warned them about "zone pricing" and then told them that I thought most of the Ohio cities were running $1.54 - $1.60 for regular at the name brand stations.

Hope that you're doing better soon. The incoming cold front (due later this evening) should cool things down and dry them out.

-- (kb8um8@yahoo.com), September 11, 2000.

Ha, did you say 'cold' front? COOOLLLL.... I liked to died over the weekend, too humid for this gal. Air has been on for over 3 days straight already. Looked like rain today for a 'minute' then out popped the sun, but am feeling the cool breeze already... Ahh.

Thnks for the well wishes I'll have surgery on 10-16 and recovery time is about 4-6 weeks.

-- consumer (shh@aol.com), September 11, 2000.

Sumer,

Get better soon!

K,

Got milk to go with those gingersnaps? :-)

-- Deb M. (vmcclell@columbus.rr.com), September 11, 2000.

Sorry, no milk at the moment, Deb. Gotta run out to Meijer. There's a pack or two of instant hot chocolate left. If the wind keeps up, it'll be cold enough in an hour or so that hot chocolate will start to sound good. What's this I heard about some national TV producer making a travelogue about Delaware (OH)?

-- (kb8um8@yahoo.com), September 11, 2000.

KB,

That's the first I've heard of it! It's going to be an awful short travelogue though - there's not much to do north of Columbus except the Observatory...

-- Deb M. (vmcclell@columbus.rr.com), September 11, 2000.

Gee Aunt Bee, I could sure have used a little defense from you when consumer was psychoanalyzing me because I am sooooo mean and sooooo bitter.

Another post about gasoline, and oil and oil and oil. Does anyone on here ever worry about water and heat?

-- gilda (jess@listbot.com), September 11, 2000.

Gilda, it's hard for me to worry about water because we have plenty of it in Central Ohio -- the drought was broken in July and the water table is nearly an inch higher than normal. Since there is a bountiful local supply of wheat, soy, corn, beef, pork, chicken, and fruit -- apples are excellent this year -- I haven't been giving much thought to the drought in other areas. As for heat, I, personally, am not worried, but I know that it's a concern for a lot of families. All I can say is that I sooooo glad that I didn't take a job in TX! And I'm sure some of the TX residents are glad, too. 8-)

-- (kb8um8@yahoo.com), September 11, 2000.

oops Gilda...I think that was me and not consumer. I did apologize though.

-- cin (cin@=0).cin), September 11, 2000.

Sumer!!!

So sorry to hear bout your surgery : ( You are a tough one though and I predict you will be back to rasslin' in no time flat...and no I will not let you win just because youre down at the moment ; ) Shall it be hot tub rasslin',sand, jello? You get to pick your choice of playing fields,LOL.

Flora,

Contraire, the Spaniard is most welcome, but a King is no longer a King when he cannot accept defeat with honor and dignity, facing the conquers' nobely is a mandate of the title.

-- capnfun (capnfun1@excite.com), September 11, 2000.

-Sumer-

Good to see ya!

Gilda-

I promise to come to your defense the next time someone is telling you that you are sooooo mean and soooo bitter!

-- Aunt Bee (Aunt__Bee@hotmail.com), September 12, 2000.

no cin, it was sumer, but maybe you said the same thing and I missed it. Tell me where to look, so I can guage how miffed I oughta' be. Big :)

Thanks Aunt Bee, I need all the help I can get.

Good luck with your op sumer.

-- gilda (jess@listbot.com), September 12, 2000.

Okay, Gilda, I am SORRY.

I guess I was trying to analyze you. My fault, I do that alot. I just dont care much for the way it appears people bash religion. I was not raised that way. I was raised stricter than you and I have a deep respect for religion. I am not sorry for that. See Gilda, I have to have something to 'believe in' or I couldnt make it.

Too much heartache in this big ol world for moi. As for water and heat, water no, heat YES see I'm a freeze baby.

I hereby promise not to call you mean and bitter no more.

-- consumer (shh@aol.com), September 13, 2000.

Hi 'Sumer,

I wish you the best with your surgery. Actually, this post is an official order, on behalf of us all, for you to come out of it with flying colors, 'cause we need ya here.

By the way, don't forget to make sure that the doc you want will really be the one performing the surgery. And please see to it that the anesthesiologist (assuming you'll be knocked out) is a good one.

Keep in touch about this, 'Sumer...ok?
