Karaoke on Video CD

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Video CD : One Thread

I just bought a Tredex TX8303 DVD/VCD/SVCD/MP3/Karaoke player. Their customer says it is not compatible with CD+G, but I can use VCD for karaoke. How does it works? and where can I get karaoke VCD?

I have purchased my Karaoke VCD's from http://videocds.com, the quality of the production however is below average. From the 30 odd VCD's I purchased, the only set I found worthwhile was the one entitled "Oldies and Goodies" vol 1 to 6.

when you record a cd in data (as mp3) - the only thing this player plays is 128 bitrate or less, anything above, this thing hiccups so the thing i just found to fix it is lowering the bit rate with musicmatch box or other software like mp3workshop (but note: that this lowers the quality).
