What's the best surprise ending you ever read or saw?--Al

Well, I know it's not the *best* but a local columnist last week wrote about her visit to the doctor's office and how smoothly and efficiently everything had gone. Totally sucked me in, as I used to manage a doctor's office and listened to patient complaints all the time. When she got to the end of the article, it turns out she was speaking about taking her pet in to the vet's. (And having visited the same vet office, I know she's right--it's much better to take a pet to the vet than to go to the doctor's office for yourself!)

The one to your 'Steamy' entry was pretty darn good! I was REALLY convinced it was about sex! I was thinking such DETAILS! Ha ha! Very good!

Well, most recently it was the one-two punch of "The Sixth Sense" and "Arlington Road" GREAT surprise endings for both.
Perhaps the best movie twist ending for me was "The Usual Suspects"
I know there have been some great book ones, but right now my minds a blank.

The ending to the first Karate Kid. That move to win the match blew me away.
