SCOTS PLAN ROAD PROTEST

LORRY drivers across Scotland will take to the
streets next week to protest at high fuel prices.

. . .

A spokesman for the RHA said: "Last week saw
French fishermen at Calais blockade not only
the port, but also the shipping lanes themselves,
in an attempt to lower the price of their fuel.
Within hours, the fishermen got what they wanted.

. . .

Elsewhere in Britain, protests were stepped up.
A blockade by farmers and hauliers prevented
dozens of tankers leaving Shell's Stanlow oil
refinery near Ellesmere Port in Cheshire yesterday.
