Sorry about that Dougal, just thought I'd make an early start . Oh I forgot to put the link to the posting page CLICK HERE TO POST YOUR REPORT/COMENTS. It's going to be a permanent archive of our season of triumph. There isn't anything on the Coventery game, anyone there that wishes to write a few words? The Password to post is cuddlyb0b.

I'll be tidying this up and putting it on my archive page later Hi Lads and Lasses, just got back from the game, Lets get the moan of the day out of the way first ST JAMES' Park is far too noisey, so mush so that I've still get a headache (and i haven't had a drink yet) I'm not talking ofthe crowd but the PA system before the game, it was deafening, If this was an attempt to get the noise level up inside the ground it didn't work. We all just had headaches and didn't want to do much shouting after the din for thirty minutes before the game it was good to get the match started . Although it had it's moments it had no real high spots. I suppose Shola Amoebi will remember the game, but not many of the fans will. We were solid enough, with Barton playing very well as a left back, he did make an occasional bad clearance but was a good stand in for Domi, who must still injured. Charvet did very well on the right, dare I say he is better than Barton? he realy is very quick gets forward well and could be Bobby Robson's rediscovery of the season. Selling him for a million would have been a bad move, he got forward an awfull lot, perhaps too often, but Solano covered him well when he went forward Goma took care of Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink (and you thought I couldn't spell). Aaron Hughes though was the star man in defence, never put a foot wrong and made Torre Andre Flo look like the Scandanavian strikers that we've had in recent years. The same could be said for the midfielders. They made the overpaid foriegners of Chelsea look very ordinary. Nobby was probably the best of the bunch on the right, but Gallacher did very well playing out of position on the left. Speed was OK, he did waste a couple of balls and have a pretty easy looking header on goal go wide. Dyer was Dyer, lively in the centre, good going forward, a bit slow sometimes tracking back. Up front Cordone looks so comfortable on the ball, he is what Kets tried to be, a bloody pain in the neck for any defender to try and stick to. Shearer was marked out of the game by Lepuff and Desailly for most of the game, which did give the likes of Cordone more room. The problem was though that Chelsea are a pretty good side, and have probarbly had a right bollocking for beeing bottlers in recent days. They pulled their midfield back, snubbing out most of Newcdastles efforts, the best of which came to Shearer, his header in the second half was probably the only shot that Cudicini had to stop. Of course you have to mentioan Shola Amoebi, who has grown another inch since I updated my Shola Amoebi fact page this morning. Most around me thought it was Cort coming on,. he has the same biuld and look to him as Cort, and didn't realy look out of place. It's nice to see the youngsters get their chance in the first team. Just a shame that his shot late in the second half went well over the top, atleast he had the nerve to shoot (with his wrong foot). To sum up, it was a pretty poor game to watch, but not a bad result. At the begining of the season chelsea were tipped as title challangers to Man U. We kept a clean sheet against them and got a point. OK so we might be back in third spot but we can take heart from the fact that WE ARE STILL in a Euro cup spot and 15 places above the Nakems who must be devistated.

Gazza was on the 5.28 from Toon to KX. He must have got on at Darlington after finishing against the Smoggies. Kevin, the GNER Geordie, said that he left the game soon as it finished, no shower. Anyway an endless stream of kids and their dads got his autograph
Nobody like him.
