I have a new Sony Vaio 100 Desktop. The vcds I have made are not as good as I would expect. I am using the built in Sony file to convert to Video cd format. Are the encoders listed on the board better than Sony's? IF so which one and how can I download. I tried to download TPMpeg but it was written in Japanese.

i have a sony pcgf540 and i capture dv using dvgate motion software. i use tmpgenc to encode to vcd or svcd. this method works best for me. i have not used sony's encoder so i can't comment on that. i'll email you the patch.
