Says it all really doesn't it?

I was reading an interesting story from Italy.

In the game between Juventus and Parma Fabio Cannavaro "scored" in the last minute a goal that would have meant the game finished 1-1. The referee disallowed the goal saying he had already blown for time. TV replay's showed this to be untrue and the ref was banned for 4 months.

In the Bournemouth Colchester game last Saturday the Ref gave Colchester an indirect free kick, he quite clearly raise's his arm to signal this. Colchester score directly from the kick and the Bournemouth players protest. As a result four players and the manager are now on a charge from the FA. Several players actually stated they left the ball knowing the kick was indirect. When will the FA learn they are making matters worse when they do not deal with incompetant officials. Setting them up as little gods alienates them from everyone players and fans.

Incidently the Italy story is spoiled slightly by the fact that the ref was banned from May 13th to Sept 13th while the Italian season doesn't start until October so he didn't actually miss any matches. Still the thought was there.

I say, as you say, "it say's it all, doesn't it", and that's all I've got to say about that 8-)
