Thousands Have Phones Service Back Thousands of eastside Ameritech customers have their phone service back this morning. Phone customers were forced to turn to their cell phones after thousands of customers were hearing a busy signal on their home phones. Ameritech says the customers are lucky to have the service repaired so quickly, after stating repairs usually take three to four weeks.
