I have the 1V and I would like to add the DB-E2 data-back. I got the data-back from the store, but when I put it on the camera it didnt feel to close is tight as the original cover. Does anyone else have any experience with this?

You should read the instructions on page 118. how to attaching GR-e2. Hopefully you didn't breake your EOS 1v body.
