Southampton Game - Help Needed Urgently!!!

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Unofficial Newcastle United Football Club BBS : One Thread

We are not on the ball (so to speak!) After the many kind offers of help we recieved from the last Southampton Thread, we ummmed and ahhhed for so long, trying to get seats with people we knew etc. that we have not only missed the Season Ticket voucher application deadline, but we have also discovered that there are no tickets on general release for the game!!!

So we now have to make a heartfelt plea to anyone who can help us get 2 (or more) seats together for the match. Not entirely sure how it works but any suggestions would be much appreciated!!! I believe (but I'm not absolutely sure) that Sting and Gav are in the same boat.

There will be beer and Galaxy's "special" pies on offer for anyone who comes up with a solution!!! (;o)

Just getting it to the top of the list!!! (;o)

-- Anonymous, September 06, 2000

I'm in the same boat as you although.... I've been offered my mates Saints season ticket. Troubl is that when I'll not be able to jump, scream, shout or I'll get hoyed oot and me mate will risk losing his ticket. Can I sit quietly at a Toon match?

-- Anonymous, September 07, 2000

Very unlikely Geordie, very unlikely!(:o)

-- Anonymous, September 07, 2000

Yelli,

I've e-mailed Mungo to see if he can help.

-- Anonymous, September 07, 2000

Why do I feel that my hattrick of appearances is not going to happen?

Any contributions gladly received...beer aplenty for the lad / lady who is mug nice enough to get me in to see us finally remove the Curse of the Dell.

-- Anonymous, September 07, 2000

Cheers Steph!!!

-- Anonymous, September 07, 2000

Well what do you know, this thread`s moved up the list again!(:o)

-- Anonymous, September 07, 2000

At least it's not the Big Brother one...........there you go up the top again. :0)

-- Anonymous, September 07, 2000

Yeah I'll do anything to keep Big Brother from the top of the list.....what would visitors to our site think if they came and saw that ;)))))

-- Anonymous, September 07, 2000

Ain't nothing wrong with Big Brother you know!!! Oooh, and we're at the top of the list again!!!

-- Anonymous, September 07, 2000

Ain't nothing right about Big Brother too. You're right Gav if this thread stays at the top it will be so embarrassing.

-- Anonymous, September 07, 2000

Thanks DeBuilder....I was hoping someone would be on my side ;))

Bliddy women eh....

-- Anonymous, September 07, 2000

Bliddy women eh....

Don't include me - I've neverwatched the programme!

-- Anonymous, September 07, 2000

I was just going to say I can feel a backlash coming Gav! I'm off for a cuppa!

-- Anonymous, September 07, 2000

I re-iterate - there is nothing wrong with watching Big Brother. It may not be educational as such, but the psychology side of it is very interesting!!! And Gav, if you had been in the country from the start of the programme I bet money on the fact that you would be hooked as well!!! (Just like Hollyoaks!!!)

And the thread is at the top again - now will someone PLEASE give me some bloody tickets!!! (;o)

-- Anonymous, September 07, 2000

Come on Yelli, lads only watch Hollyoaks because of one thing not because it is interesting. And since Giggy's ex has left it has lost some of that sparkle although the current crop ae trying hard with the number of Maxim/FHM shoots they are getting through!

-- Anonymous, September 07, 2000

I can see your point there - although a couple of them are quite attractive still. Mandy and Nikki are both fit, and I can see where you are coming from with the FHM shoot!

So what else do you watch just because of the totty in the programme?!? Women, of course do nothing of the sort!!! (;o)

-- Anonymous, September 07, 2000

HollyOaks eh.....never seen it ;))

-- Anonymous, September 07, 2000

Hard core porn is canny for totty mostly : - ) Other than that waking up to Cat deeley every Saturday morning gets me up and ready for the day : - ))

-- Anonymous, September 07, 2000

And a bit of Sweet Valley High never hurt anyone, along with re-runs of Dukes of Hazard (Daisy), Baywatch (obviously) and MTV if the right video has been selected.

-- Anonymous, September 07, 2000

Sting,

Cat Deeley is being lined up to open a Peugot Dealership in Derby we have recently refurbished! Names down for the day already.

-- Anonymous, September 07, 2000

Cat Deeley is a really pretty girl, and if you have a thing for the Sweet Valley High twins, one of them has been in Dawsons Creek this series (where you will also find Katy Holmes) and is looking all grown up and playing an incredibly sexy character!!!

Gav, be honest now....... (;o)

-- Anonymous, September 07, 2000

Apparently Miss Deeley is a really nice person as well.....no honest she is.....aawwww come on you guys aren't taking me seriously are you....aaawwww bollocks to it I'm off to investigate the storylines on Dawson's Creek or whatever.

-- Anonymous, September 07, 2000

I can honestly....hand on my heart say that I've only ever watched HollyOaks twice......and NEVER since ;)

-- Anonymous, September 07, 2000

Bad accident Gav?! ;0)

-- Anonymous, September 07, 2000

Gav, you've let me down!!! (;o)

And this still isn't sorting out tickets for the Southampton game!!!

-- Anonymous, September 07, 2000

Close your eyes girls....

shit, bollocks,f*&^*% etc.....
my f(*^%*g ticket has fallen through.

-- Anonymous, September 07, 2000

As me Nan used to say ' This isnt getting the bairn a new coat ' .. ive got me fingers crossed for the tickets i applied for and ill prolly have a spare one .. do i hear bids ? : - )) Only serious offers considered , and favours in kind greatly accepted , the more imaginative the better ; - )

-- Anonymous, September 07, 2000

Bad luck Geordie!

So now, between us we are looking for about 6 tickets!!! Any offers?!? (;o)

-- Anonymous, September 07, 2000

Sting,

I would like to start the bidding - but I am bidding on behalf of my Mum as well! Name your price!!!

-- Anonymous, September 07, 2000

Oi Plum,

How you gonna share one seat between two?

Anyway....your mum can sit with Sting and you can sit on me....oops I meant sit with me ;)

-- Anonymous, September 07, 2000

GET INNNNNN !! Ive got at least one after confirmation with the box office , and that prolly means the other one too . I asked for two extras so mebbes cos theyre all sold out ill have one of them as well . Ill let youse know : - )))

-- Anonymous, September 07, 2000

Gav,

If it means I get to the game I would sit on/with anyone who sorted me out a ticket!!! (;o)

Would it be safe to let Mum sit with Sting?!? She is very sweet and innocent you know, and I wouldn't like to see her corrupted in any way!!!

-- Anonymous, September 07, 2000

Yelli,

She's safe.....Sting's a shirtlifter ;)

-- Anonymous, September 07, 2000

Thats the kind of offers i was looking for Yelli , is your Mam a screamer ? : - ))

-- Anonymous, September 07, 2000

Sting - You won't find someone who sings louder during a game than Mum!!! She can scream and holler with the best of them - actually, I don't know if YOU'D be safe with HER!! (;o)

-- Anonymous, September 07, 2000

Sting, if it takes 22 fit young men to make her scream and holler how are you going to manage it?! :0)

-- Anonymous, September 07, 2000

Sounds like my kind of Girl .. my hands are red roar from the amount of slapping and spanking i did last night . My gluteus maximus is stinging too after all the exertion around the back of the train station , and im feeling a little horse ; - )

-- Anonymous, September 07, 2000

Gav, check your mail.

Sting, seriously how many tickets are you likely to have spare if you get all of the ones you have asked for?!?

-- Anonymous, September 07, 2000

Gavs got first dibs on the other one , so mebbes 2 , theyre not getting posted til next week . Mungo is your best bet , have a word with him , he's a really canny lad and will do all he can to help : - )

-- Anonymous, September 07, 2000

And I've got a finger in a pie for two so if it all comes off then we'll have enough for me, sting, yelli, gal, bobby and geordie...

Sounds like fun.....now let's all pray together that it comes off!!

-- Anonymous, September 07, 2000

Superb, fingers and everything else crossed for a good outcome then!!! Cheers for all the time and effort boys - much appreciated! We'll ply you with food and alcohol after the game if all of this comes off!!!

(;o)

-- Anonymous, September 07, 2000

Gav, I may buy you a half of bitter shandy if it comes up! either way I'll be up for pre-match/post-match beverages

-- Anonymous, September 07, 2000

Dunno if I'm allowed bitter shandies mister.....i'm not old enough and my mam might be angry with me ;))

I'm not even thinking about not getting tickets cos I really want to go down....I enjoyed myself so much last year even with the shitty result.....and the rain ;)

-- Anonymous, September 07, 2000

Good news and bad news from me im afraid .. i had 2 tickets when i arrived home on the mat : - ) and : - ( .

-- Anonymous, September 08, 2000

C'mon - And What?!?

-- Anonymous, September 08, 2000

OK - Early morning stupidity!!! I understand now and that isn't good news at all!!! (:o(

-- Anonymous, September 08, 2000

Must be hereditary Yelli.(;o)

-- Anonymous, September 08, 2000

Yep, last year was lots of fun, even if getting home was a bit of a mystery tour. Quite why me and Gav chose to stand and drink our pints in that downpour I'll never know - seemed like a good idea at the time I guess.

I'll be sooooooo peeved if we finally beat that lot at their dump of a ground and I'm not there...at least I know the rest of you will make a good noise. Nah, that's not even small consolation

-- Anonymous, September 08, 2000

Don`t give up yet Bobby!

Does anyone know if there is a returns system at the NUFC Box Office? I mean there must be season ticket holders who order a ticket, then for some reason can`t go.(:o)

-- Anonymous, September 08, 2000

I'm still trying for 2 and should know tomorrow....but that's still 2 between 4 wanted. :((

Did Mungo get back to anyone cos he's usually pretty good with these things?

-- Anonymous, September 08, 2000

Calm yersels man , theres three , sorry four very definite options left .. 1. Trains from London theres always fellas with a spare on the day on the Trains , you just have to ask about , but ive done it before and you always find one and have a canny banter on the way . 2. The ticket office at Newcastle for returns near the day , but is always a long shot . 3 . At Southampton last year the club returned some unused corporate tickets that were sold at their ticket office . 4. If you stand around at the boozer at the away end when the coaches arrive theres always a few who dont make it , or better still stand where the coaches arrive and ask those getting off the buses if they have a spare ( dont be shy ) . 5 . Keep trying Mungo he will always help us lot out . IF YOU WANT ONE BADLY ENOUGH YOULL GET ONE . : - ))

-- Anonymous, September 08, 2000

Just had an e-mail from Mungo. Unfortunately all his spares are taken but he will let me know if anything comes up.

-- Anonymous, September 08, 2000

Thanks for trying Steph - still hoping something will come along though!(:o)

-- Anonymous, September 08, 2000

Sounds like a travel and see what happens, eh.

Ah well, why not. The trip is half the fun :-)

-- Anonymous, September 08, 2000

You're joking aren't you Bobby? the travelling is MORE than half the fun when we go to the Dell cos we're not getting any points :))

-- Anonymous, September 08, 2000

Ever the optomist, Dingle :-)

Last 2 seasons have been a right laugh, on a Wimbledon away level of fun. Ok, I'm in for the trip. What are the odds if I don't get in I get set upon waiting outside? Still, the drink numbs the pain of defeat and batterings.

-- Anonymous, September 08, 2000

OK lads ('n lasses), if tickets aint forthcoming or even fifth coming let's still meet up and have several beverages. This is our LAST EVER trip to the shit hole they call The Dell and I'm gonna stand outside and cheer The Lads on no matter what.

HOWAY!!!!

-- Anonymous, September 08, 2000

Good news and bad.

Good news is I'm not going to the Dell.

Bad news - I don't have a ticket to give you deserving folks. You know I would if I had one - honest. I'll just have to make do with SJP tomorrow instead.

-- Anonymous, September 08, 2000

Wahey! Sorted :-))

Drink, drink wherever you may be...
