Shell, a major supplier of avgas to the
aviation industry in the country, has
warned operators to start making
immediate arrangements to purchase
their own supplies directly from off shore
sources.

The company said it had been forced to
make the decision following refusal by
the Price Controller to approve a 22.87
toea per litre increase in the price of
avgas.
