Geordie Boozers.

As it's a tad quiet on here I thought I'd ask the people who are (like me) unfortunate enough not to be living in the North East, if you have a particular boozer which you go to when watching the toon on the telly.

Here in loughborough we have a not too bad pub called the Griffin Inn which fills up with Geordies when ever we are on telly. There's always a good atmosphere,as you are guarenteed that there will be a bunch of students in there who support the opposition. It also helps that the scottish landlord and two of his bar staff support the toon I suppose.

To my fairly extensive knowledge of Northampton Pubs, there is one pub which you would associate with a toon based following.

My living room gets a bit roudy every now and then when they're on the box though!

Sorry that should read there is NOT one pub you would associate with a toon based following.

Can't help it in about an hour and a half I'll be setting off for Coventry..... Howay the lads.

The Prince of Wales in Hillingdon serves me and the Hillingdon Mags well. It's a crap place, but we always win when we're on the telly there (except FA semis), and despite being a bit of a Spurs pub, they don't mind NUFC tops - unusual for a Lahndahn pub.

Oops, sorry Scratchy. I knew one of the West London posse had mentioned they were going there. Thanks for the reply. Do they still have that little room up the steps at the back, with the big screen and no seats?

I would like to nominate Bud Wiser as the biggest Geordie Boozer that I know.

Gav may be better, but I have not had a drink with him yet!
