Art Deco Statue Repair

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Art Deco Society of Washington : One Thread

I have a beautiful nude statue of cast iron (I think) with a bronze finish on the outside. My grandson broke it and I need help on where or how to get it restored to its original condition. Can you help?? I can send pictures if you can accept them. Thanks, Jane Bailey

Hi-

It may actually be made of white metal--a combination of nickel and lead, which can be soldered back together. I'd be happy to take a look at a picture.
