al-d, just what do you think you have to fear from foreign troops? Do you think they are about to impose a dictatorship on us through military force or the threat of it? Somehow I doubt there are anywhere near enough to accomplish this goal.

Also, troops act under orders (usually). Whose orders do you think these foreign troops will be following?

I would like a clarification on what is foreign these days? Unless you live in Wonderbread, Idaho you probably have noticed the 54 different dialects spoken as you meander through the local mall. The next time you are prone to moan at the seemingly unrestrained flow of immigrants into this country of ours, consider the asset of internal protection they bring to the table. What nation, or group of nations, would want to invade us only to get back that which they were happy to get rid of? Stop worrying about these foolish scenariosbe like Bingo and allow your mind (literary freedom here) to waft off into some surrealistic fog world where chemically induced thoughts rule the day.

Does anyone remember when it was said [in 1998 or 1999] that there were 3 million Chinese troops in Mexico waiting to invade the U.S.? I have a good friend who married a guy from Mexico. Every month they call his mom there and she'd laughingly ask if she'd seen ANY of those Chinese troops yet. She never saw one.

While I don't have a link, I read that because of the water shortage in northern China that there is a duck shortage. Obviously, al-d is worried about duck theft. :^)
