After you die (or just get really, really famous), who's gonna play you in the movie you make about your life?

And, hey, because this is my forum... Who do you think should play me in the movie about my life?

I want either Winonna Rider or Parker Posey to play me. Winonna 'cause I want people to think she looks like me (and vice versa) and Parker because she can be totally bizarre and bitchy--how I'll be when I'm famous and rich and don't owe The Man anything. I don't know who should play you, Gwen. I'll have to think about it. I think there's some super fresh unknown actress out there waiting to be you!!

Parker Posey rules! I love her! She's all lanky and quirky and sarcastic and cool. So I'd pick her or Chloe Sevigny. Alicia Witt or Claire Danes might be good, too.

Gwen, I think you should play yourself, because that way you could rake in as much attention as possible. ;) Barring that, what about Janeane Garafolo?

Me? Why Clint Eastwood of course. Sheesh! And I would cast the gal who played the mom in "Tumbleweeds" with the cool preteen for you. Such a cute accent. And nice ta ta's. I don't remember her name but she was tooooo cool. Wish my mom would have been like that. Oh wait! I'd probably be dead. The sixties ya know. Clint

I suppose it would have to be Janeane Garafolo. Or Natalie Portman. Or a dark-haired Alyson Hannigan, because no one can play the airhead so well.

Okay, I thought of who I want to play me. If not Janeane, then that chick who played Muriel on Muriel's Wedding. Toni Collette, right? And she was also in Sixth Sense?

Excellent choice, Gwen! I didn't realize that was the same actress in those roles. I'm sure she'd be honored to portray you. :-)

I would love Bonnie Hunt to play me, only because she is so cool and hysterical. She doesn't look or act like me. Would that be banned by the studio?

When I was younger, I always had people coming up to me and asking me if I knew I looked like Jenny on All My Children. Now I have people asking me if I know I look like that brunette on NYPD Blue. While I totally think Kim Delaney rocks, I honestly believe we have little to no resemblance. Still, I wouldn't mind her playing me in a movie... She's got way bigger boobs.

I think you should have Marisa Tomei play you Gwen.

Toni Colette is very cool. Go rent "Clockwatchers" if you haven't already; she's rad om that, too.

I'm embarrassed to say that Janeane G would have to play me. I think she's A-OK and everything, and we look alike it's just embarrassing to think of someone else playing me. I just feel geeky saying that.

I like Parker Posey too but she usually plays hyper people and I'm more reserved and mean then wacky and quirky. Plus Janeane is more my body double then Parker.

Oddly enough, we used to play almost this exact game in university. :) It all started when a friend of mine filled an awkward silence one day by saying, "So, who's going to play you in the movie?" My answer now, just like it was then, is Helena Bonham Carter. I don't look like her exactly but we have certain features in common, if that makes sense - same sort of wavy/curly dark hair and pale skin and rounded face. Plus I think she's an incredible actress and I admire her greatly. I agree, either Janeane Garofalo or Toni Collette for Gwen - either one would be a good choice. :)

Mindy Cohn...you know, Natalie from The Facts of Life. No, wait, she's not sexy enough to play the 80's me...well, Madonna AND Mindy Cohn, then...Jayden can play himself, since he's gonna be all famous and stuff...
