Hi I really like this encoder. I was wondering if people just leave the default settings, or if there are ways to make it better. I am using DV footage I am bringing in from my Raptor board. Would you recommend changing anything like the bitrate, or other settings. and also, how about for MPEG2, what settings would you think about changing.

i'm using dv footage too. here's what worked for me (other settings are default)...

vcd settings (ntsc): - video tab motion search: super-high quality - advanced tab format: progressive aspect ratio: 4:3 525 ntsc image arrangement: full screen with aspect ratio

svcd settings(ntsc): - video tab rate control mode: constant quality motion search: super-high quality - bitreate control tab qulity: 65 p frame degradation: 0 b frame degradation: 20 - advanced tab format: progressive aspect ratio: 4:3 525 ntsc image arrangement: full screen with aspect ratio
