Is the Minolta 100mm Macro internal focusing?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Camera Equipment : One Thread

I'm looking to buy a macro lens soon. From what I've read, the optical quality of the 3 ~100mm macro lenses available (Minolta, Sigma, Tamron) range from high to extremely high.

My decision will come down to internal focusing since a circular polarizer "may" sometimes be needed. The Tamron isn't so that is out. I know the Sigma 105 is. Is the Minolta?

Answers

Yes. The Minolta 100/2.8 AF is internal focusing.
