The treatment of her reported condition by some of the tabloids yesterday was beneath contempt.

Didn't see it Al. However, from the intonation in your comments, I have to think that they were at their typical worst. Personally, I wish the press would just leave them alone. OK, when you're a public figure (family) and out on a public engagement, then fair dos. Flash away lads. But when it invades privacy, then I hold the press in utter contempt. The snidy tabloid references, as outlined on the BBC2 Breakfast News show yesterday morning, were to her having a 'brain bug', while simultaneously inferring that she didn't have a brain with which to have the bug.
Doesn't much sicker, or much lower IMO.

Sorry to disagree with you Clarky, but I think the lowest part of this is still to come out.

I might be proved to be wrong, and if that is the case then I will apologise for it in advance, but the lowest point of this will be when it is shown that the 'announcement' of this illness/bug is nothing but yet another publicity stunt.

She was supposedly on a tour of Germany, a tour where three concerts have been cancelled due to the lack of ticket sales, when this story broke. Now immediately it is front page of the papers, and you have to delve very deep and far into the story before you find that three days after it was discovered it was found to be the 'non-life thresatening viral version'

In that three days, he remains with the England squad, without them being made aware of her condition, until the papers came out.

Now I don't care who it is or what is going on, but if my missus had this, there is no way I would stay away for three days before getting 'the all clear' - I would have been there and by her side straight away, and I would have told the people I was working with what was going on, just in case I might have been carrying the same bug.

If it is not a put up job, how the hell did he concentrate on the match last night and play as well as he did. I bet there is no one else in this world who could have done so.

OK I may be cynical, but I do not believe this story at all.....it is yet more required publicity to promote the concerts and to pump more life into flagging record sales.

They reckon she will be 'out of action' for over a year because of it, I reckon that if she is back a day before then she has either made a miracle recovery or I will be vindicated in my belief.
