I was wondering what our Swedish friends have been up to, so I checked out the IF Thor orienteering home page. Here is the latest Wallenborg news:

IF Thor has a club "tournament" and the first round is now complete. Sanna finished third in her group and qualified for the B-finals. There were four races in the first round and Sanna ran in three of those races. Magnus also made three of the four races in the first round, but finished further down in his group. As a result, Magnus is competing in the C final.

In the club rankings we learn more....Sanna is ranked 20th, as she was at the beginning of the summer. She had a decent run at the short district champs, but didn't run the classic-distance district champs because of a cold. Magnus has moved up in the club rankings. He is now ranked 15th (after being ranked 20th). Way to go Magnus! The comment about Magnus in the club rankings is "training should be giving results."
