My, Kenneth, you are in a jestful mood. Good job we didn't sign Bogarde or you'd've been straight on Alta Vista doing a search for Casablanca stills... :@)

.....and he didn't even give credit to NUFC.com. Tut tut. Besides, I don't remember Sir Larry looking like that.

I reckon in the second half when he torns roond, he'll look the dog's bollox.

And if knocking the opposition over doesn't do the job, he can drool all over them. :-)

Dan, Dan, Far be it for me to say, quoting Norman Barry but I must take you media guys to task. Searching Alta Vista for Casablanca stills indeed!!!, Pathe News more like for the real Bogarde, that one with Diana Dors, wearing white, tight home knitted jumper, and Dirk leering in background, circa 56 I guess.

I always had Dan pinned more as an ac-tor type than a media guy Buff ?! (Voiceovers; Baddiel impersonations at footy grounds and all that) ...

We should be told, Maier. Should the regular anti-media flak on this board be directed towards you too ?? :o)

Well spotted that man, sorry guys I should have said "The Entertainment Industry", its not every day that one bumps into Sheree Wintons little lad is it?. Memories ah memories, even tho Mitzi Gaynor was my fav for some obscure reason, (frustrated song and dance man mebbees aye, mebbees nah)- the picture of Sheree Winton usually found in the weekly editions of the TiT-Bits or the reveille freely availible in the reading room of any decent Miners Welfare Hall would bring a surge of anticipation to this 15 year old. It concerns me that a lot of ex miners of that era are now claiming compo for white finger disease, not all of them worked windy tools.!!!! As for Dan Dare, Loony I realise he is no journo, but like yourself I feel he should come out of the closet and reveal himself,- unless he was one of the airman in Hello - Hello, he can stay hidden. I got him down as a scriptwriter, keep looking at the credits as they whizz down but as yet, failed to spot. He is probably hard at it now as consultant on the American re-make of Get Carter ,no Geordies, no Tyne Bridge, with Caine in a bit part as a snidy barman, the mind boggles. The best value for money ever, a double biller at the old Haymarket, Puppet on a String with that Dutch guy (Barry)? and Carter, They don`t make them like that these days, Buff exits stage left with woodbine dangling.

Well blow me Buff (not to be taken literally thank you, before anyone starts !) Did someone slip a tab of speed in your morning Corn Flakes or something ?! After that posting I can only assume that the sun must be shining brightly up your way and that everything's just jim dandy ;o)

BTW I hope to god you were only joshing about an American remake of Get Carter were you ? And I dunno about Puppet on a String, but Puppet on a Chain was a top thriller in its day. Are you perchance getting mixed up with a barefooted Eurovision song entry of that name .... ?

a) Fair point on Boagarde v Bogart, tho I was always more of a Jyames Myason man myself.

b) To the best of my knowledge I've never done a Baddiel impersonation...wide ranging tho my tedious reportoire is. BTW, impressions tip of the day - YBR is just Ronald Reagan with a Geordie accent.

c)Buff, wouldn't normally advertise the CV on here, but since you raise the subject... www.danorama.freeserve.co.uk may clarify my shady employment scenario. Speaking of which, it needs updating.

Buff-

v true about Get Carter (i mean that they're remaking it, not that I'm working on it). Worrying thing I heard was that Sylvester Stallone was behind it.

"Duuuh - you a big man, but you in bad shape, mutha!"

What next, Steven Seagal in The Prime of Mis Jean Brodie remake?
