Is it possible to copy vcd's onto your hard drive?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Video CD : One Thread

I hate carrying cd's around with me and always try to copy audio cd's onto my hard drive as wav files which works using a program called cdex. I was wondering if there was a way to copy my vcd's onto my hard drive. Is there a program I need to download? A friend said you can only copy a certain number depending on how many partitions you have. Is this correct? If so how do I get around this problem without having to format my hard drive by partitioning it? Thanks

you can copy as much as you want onto your harddrive. It is more so a matter of running out of space. i have all kinds of clips on my PC. I just go by my gig number and when i have less then 4 gigs left i just burn them all out, but you are never limited in a number sense as to how many you can copy on your drive. You could copy a million video cds if your hardrvie had that much space on it.
