I just love it when they slagg him. There have been repeated efforts to undermine AS and each time he comes back and scores goals.

Tony Adam is at it today. saying Shearer hindered progress. After his own dispaly at Euro2000 and given the number off goals Arsenal have conceded this season (3 against Charlton at Highbury...), Eeyore Adams would have kept his big trap shut. He doesn't mention David Seaman's (ie. that "piece of meat with two eyes") performance either..

Asked what the differences between him and Shearer were, Adams smirked and said "No comment - there are too many people here". I can tell him. Shearer knew when to retire, has never been in prison for drunk driving and has largely kept schtum about other England players, past and present.

The Shearer slating was obvious, now he can't even answer back on the pitch he's an easier target. England will lose, and Keegan will be slagged off too.
