EasyCD burns a VCD....but no .dat files listed on CD

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Video CD : One Thread

I used a White Book standard file (provided by Adaptec)......the process seemed to work ok during record phase......but......repeatedly.....there are no .dat files anywhere on the burned CD.......what is the story here......is there a reason the actual file does not get burned onto the CD?

HELP PLEASE.....

I've noticed this problem ONLY when the mpeg file is NOT full vcd compliant. Does EZ CD Creator warn you, when you select your mpeg clip, that it is not fully compliant? It will allow you to continue, and it will not burn the mpeg track....

check the segment folder...you'll see you mpeg clips there. The reason for this is probably the packing size is wrong on your mpeg clips. You need to run the clips through either IfilmEdit, VCD cutter, or TMPGENc1.2b to fix the mux rate on them....
