Does CD-R color matter?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Video CD : One Thread

Does the quality of VCD depend to the type of CD-R color; i.e. blue, silver, gold, green? If yes, what color is reliable and good for making VCD? Thank you.

Sony CD-R's are good to burn VCD's, the Green coated CD-R's are the best.

The quality of the VCD can depend on the method of encoding, the player, and the color media. My vcd player will not play the blue/purple CDR's, it will play gren ones, and some light blue. It all depends on how the VCD is used and created.
