Can someone tell me how to put formatting tags into a message so it ends up starting new lines when I want it to, changes font, and that sort of thing. I'm sure it's dead easy but you are dealing here with someone who is deeply, deeply stupid.

Jacko,Have a look at www.htmlgoodies.com - it gives you HTML from zero knowledge. I used that to set up my web pages. For tags you have to put them in angled brackets, ie < and >. For a new paragraph (like after your name above) put a "p" in the brackets, for a new line without a blank line put "br". Don't use ""s in the tags. Hope this helps to start with. It's dead easy once you get the hang of it!

Another convert to the html cause! Or another monster created. ;-)All tags need to be enclosed in < >
<br> - at the end of a line gives you a simple line break
<p> - Creates a new paragraph
The following tags enclose the text you want alter so you have opening and closing tags. Remember to close your tags or the effect continues until a closing tag is supplied. Closing tags are the same as the opening but with a / in it.
<b>bold text</b>
<blink></blink>
<h1>heading
</h1> Sizes for headings get smaller using h2, h3, h4, h5, h6
<font size=1>small text not used as a heading</font> - Note on this you 'font' is the name of the tag. Size= is an attribute. You can use numbers from 1-6 to change the size.Hope the formatting comes out ok on the above. :-) If you want more info and tutorials and such, got to www.htmlgoodies.com It's turned Softie into a table-making fool. ;-))

Eh, what happened to my blinking heading in bold text with a large font? Back to school on Tuesday...

Look, if yer gonna write in blinking, can you at least write short sentences, so that we can read em before they disappear? It reminds me of that old school boy joke. Driver: "Excuse me, are my indicators working?"
Passer by "Yes, no, yes, no."
