The shortage of school nurses is symtomatic of a very big problem: neglect of our national public health infrastructure. Pulitzer Prize winning journalist Laurie Garrett has a new, very well researched book about this problem titled In Betrayal of Trust. It's a frightening issue. Check out Amazon.com for more info about the book.
