Phone Line Outage Investigated Sprint officials will know more today about the outage east of the Las Vegas Strip that has severed up to 21-thousand phone lines. Phone company officials say a "Acme Directional Boring" crew working in the area of East Flamingo Road and Swenson Street cut seven underground telephone lines late Tuesday night. After shoring up a 25-foot section of Flamingo Road, crews began working to repair the lines Wednesday afternoon. Affected are customers bordering the Flamingo Wash, Swenson Street, Harmon Avenue and Pecos Road. Sprint officials say it may take several days for phone service to be completely restored.
