I leave my job today, take 3 weeks off for the arrival of Softie Jnr, and start my new job in September. Class! And a match on Saturday to boot. Life is beautiful :-)

Finish work this afternoon, don't return till Wednesday! :-)

Off to Somerset this weekend visiting my Girlfriend's relations (My girlfriend's coming also!). Already thinking of an excuse why I HAVE to spend an hour and a half in my car listening to the radio for the football results!

Chilling all weekend, massive night on Monday in N'pton hopefully, although N'pton treats Bank Holidays like bliddy funerals and no-one ventures out. Tuesday, relax, probably catch up with you lot on the BBS.

Dumping the kids with the parents in law and off to Barcelona with my wife tomorrow morning for a couple of nights (wedding anniversary). Never been there before, so I can't wait. Anyone got any good tips?

Like Modern art Windy ? Miro and Picasso museums on Mont Juic are awesome , but if the suns out itll be the last place youll want to be .. id suggest the beach in that case : - )) Cable car at Mont Juic is good too .

Me , well id love to be in Toon for the match , but too much travelling aboot is keeping me at home , as is wor lass' return from America - didnt think shed be best pleased if i went to the match they day she came back ... am i under the thumb : - ?) Saturday sat panicking about the match as i really dont think the lads are going to get a result ... saturday night with some friends we havent seen for a while . Sunday Notting Hill carnival , about 20 of us .. Monday enjoy the bank holiday and quaff some drinks in the park and forget about work .

Cheers Sting. Definitely have to go to some of the galleries, but as you say, don't want to waste too much time tucked away inside (although strangely a nice, cosy, darkened Tapas bar has it's appeal) The Notting Hill carnival always reminds me of our wedding, as we actually got married at a church in Bayswater nearby, on the carnival sunday. A bit chaotic for all the guests, but great atmosphere in the pubs around and just generally in the streets. Ahh..memories

Fortunate gits aren't you.

Back to work on Monday, but after the joys and delights of the Strawbeery and a resounding victory. Bishop Auckland or Barcelona? What are you do? Enjoy

Tony you dont know youre born man .. id much rather be in the Strawbeery pre match supping a pint than traipsing around the shops , or ferrying about in the car . The Bishop Auckland v Barcelona thing i might agree with mind : - )) Windy the carnival is always great , the kids day on the Sunday is always fantastic, and it looks like the weather will hold up .. Calypso , Jerk chicken , Corn on the cob , rum and coke with a million people - London does have its plus points sometimes : - )

Got the night off from work and have popped in here to see if Softie has accepted my proposal. Worked all day and am shagged, and have an early start tomorrow so am not going out on the town. I'll stay home and read the latest edition of 442.

Interview this afternoon. Webcast in the morning. Revs in the evening. And tomorrow's game being Lego night, I better get my free lego footie player or I'm gonna sulk! ;-) Sunday I'll probably go down to the pub to watch Villa v Chewsee. Now the cable company is charging $15/game the pub is a far cheaper option. If I can manage to drag my butt out of bed early enough.
