Looking for info about DVCD - are there any non-Chinese sites available that discuss DVCD (1 gig VCD) creation and format?

Ok, here is the scoop. This is the extent of the information that I have on the subject gatherd from many hours of hunting. The good news, anyone can make DVCD images themselves. DVCD is a 1 gig VCD ( +99 Minutes ).
The Bad news. Try and find appropriate media, burners, and players that support extended play VCD's. The closest us lowley US customers can do is 80 minute VCD's.
I have read messages listing VCD's with as much as 130 minutes of video on them, tho they also list the fact is the more you place on the disk, the more unlikley it will work in players. These disks are usually pressed on silver and never see a cd-r. There was talk of that's write 99 minute disks comming to the us market, but they never arrived. These would have supported 95-99 minutes of video I believe.
Hope that clears things up.
